I missed his call and then he missed mine and finally we were on the phone. Son called me from his work parking lot in tears. I was sitting on a rolling chair and literally flew back and jumped up!! I haven’t ever felt this feeling in my life. Disbelief, too amazing to be true, vindication for my Son’s soul and spirit, a belief of grace for him.

Charles went through a lot starting from 8th grade when my ex and I got divorced. From a stable home he loved, to the happiness he carried everyday was changed. I knew that this was happening, strange trouble at school, shutting down and suppressed quiet anger.

I sent him to Landmark ( helped tremendously), reminded him endlessly that ‘Home is where your family is, not where you live.’, stayed with him and reared him with love, rules and positivity. I always told him that everything get's better, that God is watching you and all will work out…. you have to believe in your life.

In the meantime, he threw himself into his studies and school.

This acceptance letter s more than his academic accomplishments, he needed this for his faith in life and belief in his own good life. This showed him that hard work and keeping your mind right all comes together in the most beautiful, full circle way.

I always tell him, I don’t care what you do but I am going to guide you, talk you through things but all with his mental happiness in front seat.

I am soooooo happy for Son. I am always proud of him but I am most happy for him.

My belief stays the same…..for everyone…you have to believe in greatness for yourself, only think positive thoughts, you should completely be filled with great faith in your life.

And I always say it’s energy, it’s either this route or the other. It’s a choice. Very simple.

It is your state of mind that can ultimately dictate your life.

I think that this journey restored his faith or maybe made him believe that it does all work out. People learn at all different stages in their lives.

It is so competitive, especially in his major.

It was all his hard work, God and a Hail Mary!
